Don Goris, President
Don Goris is the founder and president of Campaign Resource Group.
Goris started his business in 2007 after being approached by numerous major donors and elected officials expressing the need for a West Michigan-based firm. Prior to starting his business, he was employed by Jones Gavan & Helmholdt in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and The Delphi Corporation in Washington, DC. Goris was born in Western Michigan and graduated from Calvin College in 2005 with a degree in Political Science. Don lives in Holland, Michigan, with his wife and four children. In his free time, he enjoys fly-fishing, camping, hunting, travel, and hobby farming.
Lucie Hoogland, Director of Operations
Lucie Hoogland joined Campaign Resource Group in 2013 in an event management capacity and recently assumed the role of Director of Operations.
Lucie is a graduate from the University of Maryland and holds a degree in Government and Politics. Prior to joining Campaign Resource Group, Lucie held legislative positions on Capitol Hill with Congressmen Bill Huizenga and Bill Johnson, and campaign positions with Senator Rob Portman and Congressman Steve Chabot.
Originally from Cincinnati, Lucie has happily moved to Grand Rapids to be closer to family. When not involved in politics, she tries to get to the family cottage in Leelanau County as often as possible. She also enjoys spending time with her two dogs and any type of card game.
Ron Knapp, Events Manager
Ron Knapp joined Campaign Resource Group as Events Manager in August, 2021. In this role he is responsible for coordinating and executing our clients’ events.
Ron earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Hope College in Holland, Michigan. As a student he was the intern for the founder of The Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C. His experience ranges from lead staffer on a congressional campaign to full-stack web developer for political campaigns and small businesses.
Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Ron spent a few years in Alabama before moving to Holland, Michigan in 2013. He now lives in Portage, Michigan with his wife, whom he met at Hope College, and daughter. In his free time, he studies political theory and sociology, and enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and two dogs.
